Triboro Coach Corporation


Here we have a 20-year old GMC RTS operating on Triboro's QM12 express route from Manhattan to Forest Hills in Queens. This bus has been retired.

Triboro Coach Corporation was a former private bus company operating local routes in northern and central Queens, a limited-stop "express" route between Woodside and Rockaway Park, and a number of other express routes between Queens and Manhattan. Triboro's fleet consisted of a number of older GMC RTS buses and MCI Classics, as well as newer TMC RTSs (diesel and CNG) and Orion V CNGs with soft seats. The Triboro bus fleet was not in very good condition upon the takeover by MTA Bus on February 20, 2006, and most of the fleet (save some of the diesel TMC RTSs and most of the Orion V CNGs) has been retired.
